ride the wave.

Today, December the fifth, 20,000 londoners, students, environmentalists, activists, and believers marched down the streets of London for climate change awareness.

Dressed and painted in blue, the sea of protesters made their way from Marble Arch to the steps of Parliament in a city-wide effort called The Wave.

Every individual amongst the tens of thousands waved their banners for one reason, to call for agreement to protect the environment in the upcoming Copenhagen meeting.

A group of Roehampton University students threw on matching blue t-shirts, grabbed some signs, covered their noses in paint, and followed the masses to Westminster.

Honestly, I have never been able to find common ground with most environmentalists I meet.

However, today’s demonstration proved that this is a national and true concern, worthy to get attention from even the most environmentally ignorant.

Ed Miliband, current Energy Secretary MP was the political face of the event and we got a few minutes to try an ask a few questions.

London got the message.

Now onto the rest of the world.
