ME Long

“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” Elliott Erwitt

Isn’t it great when a quote says everything for you? I fell into photography because I became obsessed with observing the world. For me, the lens was a tangible way to observe, learn, and document. I don’t describe it as a hobby or my career, it is just how I have learned to interact with everything around me.

Since graduating from Biola University in Visual Journalism, I have kept my hand gripped around the camera, documenting weddings, events, people, travel, and concerts. Far more than a well-composed and properly exposed image, I aim to tell stories.

I cheat and call both Los Angeles and Phoenix my home with a suitcase always beside my bed ready to head off somewhere new. I have a heart for non-profit media and dream of directing all my interests and passions to aid the needs of others.

In the end, I’d much rather be listening to and telling your story.

If you would like to inquire about a portrait session, wedding and engagement packages, photo project ideas, or just want to say hello, please send me an email.

I am looking forward to hearing from you!

I love the pictures you took here and I am still planning on framing many of them. You are perfecting your craft and WOW!! You are in your element! I am so proud of you! Come back to Jefferson!!! We all miss you guys!

  2. Hey Kelsey! I have seen your photography! It’s so amazing!

I am a friend of Ellyn’s here in Phoenix and I have been chosen to compete as a model in NYC for the IMTA convention. I cannot go without a professional looking portfolio though. I was wondering if you would sponsor me by letting me be one of your subjects for free and I will in turn advertise your name not only at IMTA, but across Arizona.
IMTA is an international event. Over 500 agents from the U.S and around the world will be looking at your work should you choose to help me.
Please email me at pocosgirl@cox.net or ask Ellyn Heald for my phone number. You took pictures of her not too long ago. :)

    Thank you,
    Emily Beghin

PS: Please let me know if you are interested by the 21st of March!!!! If you want pay, please call or email me! I would like to work anything out with you that I can!

This is a big chance for you to get your name out there!
